El pasado viernes 7 de agosto, el Gobierno Estudiantil de nuestro establecimiento llevó a cabo con gran éxito el Primer Torneo de Argumentación y Debate, una iniciativa que forma parte de las propuestas presentadas por sus integrantes durante su campaña para representar a la comunidad estudiantil este año.

La actividad estuvo dirigida a estudiantes de 7° Básico a 4° Medio, quienes participaron de manera voluntaria en una instancia que promovió el pensamiento crítico, la expresión oral, el respeto por las distintas opiniones y la capacidad de fundamentar ideas frente a temas de interés actual.

Durante la jornada se desarrollaron diversos debates. Uno de ellos abordó el tema “La regulación o censura del contenido en las letras de canciones de la música contemporánea”, donde participaron Isidora Saavedra (4° Medio A), defendiendo la postura a favor, y Edgar Oyaneder (3° Medio A), representando la postura en contra.

Otro de los temas debatidos fue “El lenguaje inclusivo como herramienta de inclusión social”, instancia en la que participaron Laura Guentelican (4° Medio A), a favor, y Martina Mansilla (4° Medio B), en contra.

Tras la evaluación del jurado, los resultados fueron los siguientes:

• Primer lugar: Grupo de Edgar Oyaneder, con el tema “La vigencia de la educación universitaria frente al crecimiento de las certificaciones técnicas y la educación online”.

• Segundo lugar: Grupo de Laura Guentelican.

• Tercer lugar: Grupo de Isidora Saavedra.

• Cuarto lugar: Grupo de Martina Mansilla.

  
  

Felicitamos a todos los estudiantes que participaron en esta enriquecedora experiencia, así como al Gobierno Estudiantil por impulsar espacios de diálogo y reflexión que fortalecen la formación ciudadana y el desarrollo de habilidades comunicativas en nuestra comunidad educativa.

Last Friday, August 7, our school's Student Government successfully organized the First Argumentation and Debate Tournament, an initiative that was part of the proposals presented by its members during their campaign to represent the student community this year.

The activity was open to students from 7th Grade to 12th Grade, who voluntarily participated in an event designed to promote critical thinking, public speaking, respect for different viewpoints, and the ability to support ideas with well-founded arguments on current issues.

Several debates took place throughout the event. One of them addressed the topic “The Regulation or Censorship of Content in Contemporary Music Lyrics,” where Isidora Saavedra (12th Grade A) argued in favor of the motion, while Edgar Oyaneder (11th Grade A) presented the opposing position.

Another debate focused on “Inclusive Language as a Tool for Social Inclusion,” with Laura Guentelican (12th Grade A) arguing in favor and Martina Mansilla (12th Grade B) arguing against the motion.

Following the jury’s evaluation, the results were as follows:

• First Place: Edgar Oyaneder’s team, with the topic “The Relevance of University Education in the Face of the Growth of Technical Certifications and Online Education.”

• Second Place: Laura Guentelican’s team.

• Third Place: Isidora Saavedra’s team.

• Fourth Place: Martina Mansilla’s team.

We congratulate all the students who participated in this enriching experience, as well as the Student Government for promoting spaces for dialogue and reflection that strengthen civic education and the development of communication skills within our educational community.
